Given that my wedding was a destination wedding, my family and I flew to Florida a few days early to get everything ready. Little did I know Lu had yet another surprise up her sleeve! She planned a Bachelorette Party for me, and an amazing one at that! She invited my closest friends and bridesmaids (not all of them could make it due to flights and travel schedules, they were all missed!), and organized a whole day for us to party in our own way. The night before the event Lu and my younger sister gave me a sparkly little beach dress and told me to prepare for a big day ahead!
Lu chose Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach as the location, and rented a private Cabanna for our group. We had our own sofas to lounge on, a T.V. (which was completely ignored), fruit trays, drinks and food at our disposal. The weather was great, and the setting was simply... perfect! As each guest arrived, she received pink shades, a flower crown and a flamingo straw! We played games, bonded over stories, told each other secrets, and I might have cried while talking about my future husband.
Miami is like a home away from home for me and I never in my wildest dreams thought I would have a bachelorette party there. I am so thankful I have a sister who knows me so well and that she prepared this special moment for me to spend with my favorite girls before my big day!
